Description from the Wisconsin Historical Society —
After the invasion of the United States, Americans are threatened by the enemy leader Mr. Emanon (played by L. Rodgers Lytton in profile at far right) and a room full of enemy soldiers. Closest to Mr. Emanon are John Harrison (played by Charles Richman) and Virginia Vandergriff (Norma Talmadge). Virginia's mother (played by Louise Beaudet) and little sister Dorothy (Lucille Hamill) look fearfully at the enemy soldier in the foreground (Harry Northrup). Behind Louise Beaudet is the actor James Lackaye in this scene still for the 1915 Vitagraph silent film "The Battle Cry of Peace."
